  • Application of LOX-TRACE-1000-BLX in Nitrogen Making Machine

    When the purity of nitrogen reaches 99.99%(I .e. high purity nitrogen in industrial standard) and above, its core function is to isolate oxygen, moisture and other active substances through inert protection mechanism, thus realizing functions such as oxidation resistance, pollution prevention and material life extension in industrial production. For example, it is used for purging the lens of lithography machine in chip lithography and packaging to prevent exposure defects caused by dust adhesion, nitrogen filling is used in the packaging process to prevent oxidation of solder joints leading to virtual welding. Nitrogen protection is used in annealing, carburizing and other processes to avoid oxidation and decarburization of steel. Nitrogen is needed in chemical, pharmaceutical, food, new energy and other fields. Nitrogen is extracted from the air by pressure swing adsorption (PSA) or membrane separation technology. One of its core performance indicators is the purity of the output nitrogen, and oxygen concentration detection is the key link to achieve accurate control and quality monitoring.



    LOX-TRACE-1000-BLX is an industrial-grade optical flow-through sensor based on the principle of fluorescence quenching, designed for high-precision oxygen concentration detection, and its technical advantages perfectly fit the core requirements of nitrogen making machines:

    The sensor supports 0-1000 ppm oxygen concentration detection (corresponding to 0-1.2 mbar ppO₂), which can cover the whole process monitoring of the nitrogen making machine from coarse filtration to fine filtration. Different from the consumable characteristics of electrochemical sensors, its non-consumable fluorescence technology does not need to rely on inert gas storage, avoiding the problem of electrolyte drying or electrode aging, with a service life of several years and significantly reducing maintenance costs. Even under the condition of severe fluctuation of oxygen concentration (such as the start and stop of nitrogen making machine or load change), the sensor can still maintain stable operation, will not be damaged by overexposure of oxygen, and meet the long-term continuous monitoring requirements of industrial grade.

    The power supply voltage of the sensor is 8-30V DC, and the average power consumption is less than 30mA. It is suitable for the multi-type power supply system of the nitrogen generator. The compact flow-through housing (with 4.5mm OD push-fit pipe connectors) and standardized M12 electrical interfaces support plug and play, significantly simplifying system integration.
