  • H2S Detection Scheme in Malodorous Gas

    1. What is malodorous gas?

With the sustained and rapid economic development and the continuous improvement of the level of urbanization, my country's industry, agriculture, commerce and other undertakings have developed rapidly, especially the introduction of some new chemical synthetic products such as food, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals, urban sewage treatment plants, The construction of urban infrastructure such as garbage disposal sites and many other reasons, as one of the seven major environmental hazards in the world, has caused more and more disputes and cases in the society.

All the gas substances that stimulate the olfactory organs cause people to be unhappy and damage the living environment are called malodorous gases. Odor gas is mainly composed of ammonia, sulfide and methanol. can be roughly divided5Class: sulfur-containing compounds (e. g., hydrogen sulfide, thiols, thioethers); chlorine-containing compounds (e. g., amines, amides, indoles); halogens and derivatives (e. g.cl2, halogenated hydrocarbons); hydrocarbons (such as alkanes, alkenes, alkynes, aromatic hydrocarbons); oxygen-containing organic compounds (such as alcohols, phenols, aldehydes, ketones, organic acids, etc.).

    2. Sources and hazards of malodorous gases

Malodorous gases mainly come from industrial and agricultural production departments and people's lives. For example, fecal odor, fish odor, rotten fruit odor, wild vegetable odor, etc. produced in the production and processing of agriculture and animal husbandry. Sulfides, hydrocarbons, aldehydes, ketones, benzenes, phenols, amines, tar, asphalt vapor, ammonia and various organic solvents produced in the petrochemical production process, as well as the stench of urban public facilities. High concentration of foul odorDyeThere is a direct harm to human health.According to the National Emission Standard for Odor Pollutants (GB14554-1993), the substances to control the odor only include nine indicators, including ammonia, trimethylamine, hydrogen sulfide, methyl mercaptan, dimethyl sulfide, dimethyl disulfide, carbon disulfide, styrene, and the OU value of the odor.

3, in the stenchH2SGas detection scheme recommend

Currently, Shenzhen Technology Co., Ltd. recommend a four-electrode electrochemical sensorH2S-B4to detect hydrogen sulfide in malodorous gases. This sensor has the characteristics of fast response speed, strong anti-interference, high resolution, good linearity, and wide working range. The following areH2S-B4Some of the parameters:

    Hydrogen Sulfide SensorH2S-B4Main parameters:

    1) Sensitivity:1450-2150nA/ppm

    2) Reaction time:

    3) Zero current:-250-200nA

    4) Range:100ppm

    5) Overload:200ppm

    6) Linearity error:±4ppb
