British alphasense are pleased to introduce OPC-R2 of zui's new products to all customers. OPC-R2 is the alphasense small-sized particle detector after OPC-R1, which can detect PM1, PM2.5 and PM10. The equipment has higher flow rate and lower power consumption than OPC-N2 and OPC-N3, and is a very cost-effective product. OPC-R2 replaces the OPC-R1, bringing better small particle detection, lower fan noise and better EMC protection than its predecessor. R1 and R2 have the same power requirements, communication protocols, and data formats, which means that upgrading or transitioning from R1 to R2 is painless.

Particles and aerosols are dangerous components of poor quality air, and we know that the size and composition of these particles determine their toxicity. In Alphasense, we took the lead in developing a series of optical particle counters (OPCs) designed by aerosol scientists and designed by Alphasense to provide high-quality particle counts and sizes at an affordable price. Since then, the series has been continuously developed to provide good quality and low cost equipment on the market.

Tested by global research institutions and university laboratories, the Alphasense OPC provides digital outputs of PM1, PM2.5, and PM10 (and optional PM4.25), as well as particle count histograms for each size. Our (patent pending) flow correction ensures stable readings, even in high dust environments.

Alphasense OPCs are widely used commercially in clean and highly polluted urban environments and increasingly for industrial applications.

OPC-N Series

In response to long-term projects in highly polluted urban environments, Alphasense have further strengthened the OPC-N series and improved the functions according to the needs of commercial applications. The new OPC-N3 has the same size and power supply/interface as the old OPC-N2, but it now measures from 0.35μm to 40μm and is divided into 24 boxes.

Other features of the OPC-N3 include improved aerodynamics, reduced particle deposition, better small particle detection and extended upper dimension measurement. Therefore, OPC-N3 can be measured in a wide range of applications, from clean rooms to areas with pollution levels up to 2000 μg/m3(PM2.5), all of which have the unique function of being able to measure pollen.

OPC-R Series

The OPC-R series provides excellent performance in a device that is not only very small, only 70mm long x 21mm diameter, but also very economical. OPC-R2 replaces the OPC-R1, bringing better small particle detection, lower fan noise and better EMC protection than its predecessor. R1 and R2 have the same power requirements, communication protocols, and data formats, which means that upgrading or transitioning from R1 to R2 is painless.

Using cutting-edge laser scattering technology, the OPC-R series of devices benefit from a 0.3 L/min flow rate of clean flow channels and collimating optics. Our removable flow outlet adapters allow easy system integration, SPI interface and PC analysis software to simplify data collection and analysis. The OPC-R2 has 16 bins of the size, which can record PM1, PM2.5 and PM10 and size histograms every second, which is crucial when the application needs more than just PM.
