  • CDM7162-C00 real-time monitoring of indoor CO2 concentration

In a natural environment, the normal level of carbon dioxide in the air is 0.04 percent (400ppm), sometimes reaching 500ppm in large cities. When there is no one in the room, the carbon dioxide concentration is generally around 500 to 700PPM. As the concentration of carbon dioxide rises, it will cause varying degrees of harm to human health.

The human body is very sensitive to the growth of carbon dioxide in the air, and every 0.5 percent increase in carbon dioxide content will cause a significant response from the body. If we are in a room where carbon dioxide is too high for a short period of time, carbon dioxide will have the following effects on our body:

When the concentration of carbon dioxide reaches 1%(1000PPM), people will feel dull, lose concentration and palpitations. If carbon dioxide reaches 1000PPM in an airtight bedroom, and we sleep for 8 hours in a row, we will feel that we have not had a good rest when we get up in the morning and do not want to get up. If the CO2 content in the air of the office reaches 1000PPM, the work efficiency of the employees will decrease.

When the carbon dioxide concentration reaches 1500-2000PPM, people will feel asthma, headache and dizziness. When two people sleep in a closed bedroom for one night, the concentration of carbon dioxide can easily reach 2000PPM. When the concentration of CO2 in the air of the office reaches 2000PPM, the employees will feel very sleepy, inattention and mental fatigue. After exceeding 2000PPM, we don't even want to continue working, and our thinking ability drops significantly.

When more than 5000PPM, the human body function is seriously confused, making people lose consciousness and confusion.

Here,To recommend you a superior performance of non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) carbon dioxide (CO2) sensor module ----- CDM7162-C00.

Each module has a UART (asynchronous transceiver) and I2C (synchronous serial bus) dual digital interface, can be individually calibrated. CDM7162 module design is simple, can be easily with the user's product docking. Can be widely used to enhance energy-saving ventilation control, indoor climate improvement.

The following are the specific specifications of the sensor module. Please consult for details
