The MS8607 is suitable for consumer electronics and industrial markets such as smartphones and tablets, HVAC applications, weather stations, printers, home appliances and humidifiers.

The MS8607 uses two sensors with unique MEMS technology to measure pressure, temperature, and humidity. The first sensor uses a piezoresistive sensor to measure pressure and temperature, and the second sensor is a capacitive sensor used to measure relative humidity. Each sensor is interfaced to a ΔΣ ADC integrated circuit for digital conversion, where the MS8607 uncompensated analog output voltage is converted to a 24-bit digital value for pressure and temperature measurements, while the relative humidity measurement outputs a 12-bit digital value.
