    Working principle

     

    When the sensing probe of the level switch is exposed to air, the infrared light will be reflected back to the phototransistor within the probe tip, thus forming a strong optical coupling between the infrared diode and the phototransistor. When the sensing probe is immersed in a liquid, infrared light is refracted from the tip of the probe, resulting in a decrease in the amount of light received at this end of the phototransistor, thus triggering a change in output state.
